I'm Amy Thomson and I've been a manager in the music business for 20 years. Across my career I have worked with many artists in a variety of roles. From Swedish House Mafia to Kanye West, from DJ Snake to Gorillaz. So many people who come and intern for me complain of the lack of courses in the overall know how of the music business. Even if to help people choose a more long term course, there is a lack of courses which cover all the bases and allow you to choose an area you may want to focus in.
This course will run for 5 days and cover classes in multiple layers of the music business with a text book provided.
This will not be 5 days of talks by people already in top jobs. This is a series of classes covering a wide range of what you need to know to to get started. Some special people might pop in (!) but this is not for you to hear about other's success, this is for you to learn what you need to be more successful than they are...
All proceeds of the course will be going to mental health charities which will be announced before the course begins.
Support will be given during the course on specific queries wherever possible.
